For Patients Requesting Online Medical Consultations

If you wish to receive an online medical consultation, please carefully read and agree to the following notes before applying.

At our clinic, online medical consultations are available only for follow-up visits using LINE (smartphone).

1. Basic Principles of Online Medical Consultations

In principle, initial consultations must be conducted face-to-face.

Due to the limitations of online consultations, where physical examinations and other clinical assessments cannot be performed, the information obtained is restricted. Therefore, even after the first visit, appropriate in-person consultations must be combined, as deemed necessary by the physician.

Each time an online consultation is requested, the physician will carefully determine whether it is appropriate. If online consultation is judged to be unsuitable, the session will be terminated promptly and switched to an in-person consultation.

Online consultations should be provided only when the patient fully understands both the benefits and potential disadvantages and voluntarily requests the service. They must not be conducted for research purposes or solely based on the convenience of the healthcare provider.

At our clinic, no psychoactive medications will be prescribed via online consultations to first-time patients (including those whose follow-up interval has been significantly long).

2. Security and Privacy Risks Associated with Online Consultations

Patients must not record, videotape, or photograph the video session without the physician’s consent.

During the consultation, no third party may participate without prior agreement from the physician.

If an initial consultation is exceptionally conducted online, identity verification will be required using a photo ID.
If the patient does not possess a photo ID, two or more forms of identification will be required.
